Directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth, "Lal Salaam" brings together Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth as the lead protagonists, with AR Rahman handling the film's music. Notably, former cricketer Kapil Dev is set to play a pivotal role in this cricket-centric storyline. The film is slated to hit theaters next month, and the audio launch recently took place in Chennai.

Aishwarya Rajinikanth, speaking at the event, shared insights into the making of the film and expressed gratitude for the support received. She acknowledged her longstanding connection with cinematographer Vishnu, tracing back to their collaboration on the film '3.' Aishwarya revealed that Vishnu had pitched the storyline of "Lal Salaam" to her, prompting her to explore the possibilities of bringing it to life.

In her quest to develop the project, Aishwarya met with various individuals, recognizing that some granted her appointments out of respect for her father, the iconic Rajinikanth. After creating a show-reel for the film, she approached multiple production companies. However, the filmmaker emphasized that "Lal Salaam" operates on a smaller budget compared to the suggested Rs 40 crore, making it a unique venture in its own right.

The turning point came when Rajinikanth, after reviewing the show-reel, expressed interest in being part of the project. He not only endorsed the film but also suggested playing a role in it. Aishwarya acknowledged the immense support her father provided and emphasized the unique nature of their collaboration. She highlighted the challenges faced, dispelling the notion that their family name ensures an easy path in the industry.
