Mithun Chakraborty, aged 73, is a veteran actor who made his debut in the cinema industry through a Bengali movie called "Mrigayaa." He takes pride in winning a national award for acting for his debut performance. Throughout his illustrious career, he has appeared in over 350 films across various languages including Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali, Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada. Notably, he played a pivotal role in the Tamil movie "Yagavaraiyinum Nah Kaaka," released in 2015.

Political Career:

Mithun ventured into politics and became a Rajya Sabha MP in West Bengal, representing the Trinamool Congress. However, following the Saradha Group Financial Scandal, he became embroiled in controversy and subsequently resigned from his MP position. In 2021, he joined the BJP and has been actively involved in the party ever since.

Health Concerns:

Recently, Mithun suffered a stroke on February 10 and was admitted to a private hospital in Kolkata. However, he was discharged from the hospital on Monday and was reported to be in good health by his doctors.

According to news agency PTI, shortly after being declared "stable," Mithun was quoted as saying, "There is actually no problem, I am absolutely fine. I have to control my food habits. Let’s see; I may start working soon, maybe tomorrow." Mithun also mentioned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi called him on Sunday to inquire about his well-being. He revealed that he "received a scolding for not taking care" of his health during the conversation with PM Modi.
