In a developing narrative emerging from Surat, authorities are poised to serve a notice to Indian Premier League (IPL) cricketer Abhishek Sharma in connection with the demise of a 28-year-old model and fashion designer named Tania Singh.
The police prepare to issue a notice to Indian Premier League (IPL) cricketer Abhishek Sharma in connection with the tragic death of 28-year-old model and fashion designer, Tania Singh. Speculation arises around their alleged relationship, which reportedly hit sour in the last six months.
Tania Singh (28) is a resident of Surat in Gujarat. She was a model and fashion designer, she was living with her parents. On Monday morning, Tania Singh's father Bhanwar Singh went to wake her up. It was only then he came to know that she has hanged herself.
The incident was immediately reported to the police. Police reached the spot, recovered the body and sent it for postmortem. The body was later handed over to her parents. Also, a search of her house did not yield any suicide notes. Police are investigating the cause of suicide.
Sunrisers Hyderabad all-rounder Abhishek Sharma was close to Tania Singh, who committed suicide on February 19. Reportedly, the cricketer has not responded to any of the messages Tania Singh has sent in the recent past.
"We are collecting Tania Singh's contact details and social media activity. We are considering sending a notice to Abhishek Sharma for interrogation directly. We are investigating from various angles. The next course of action will be announced soon" said the police. Further investigation is underway.
