As Valentine's Day approaches, Kumar, hailing from the heart of Kodambakkam in Chennai, assumes the role of a modern-day Chinrasu from the iconic film 'Suryavamsam.'
Each year, he orchestrates a grand celebration for lovers, adorning the party office with flags and sharing joy with food and sweets.
On the eve of Valentine's Day, we managed to connect with the enigmatic founder of the 'Indian Valentine Party' for an exclusive conversation. Kumar began with a candid reflection, 'What's the matter, sir? Since the inception of our party, I've always believed in fostering meaningful discussions about our policies and ideals. However, the media often trivializes these discussions, labeling them as 'jolly' interviews. But let's delve deeper.'
With nostalgia tinged in his voice, Kumar delved into the challenges and triumphs of pioneering the 'Indian Valentine Party.' 'Our journey has been marked by hurdles and narrow escapes. Yet, today's landscape demands our vigilance,' he remarked, alluding to the prevailing political climate in Tamil Nadu.
With a discerning eye on the political horizon, Kumar highlighted the looming specter of the BJP's ascent to power in the state. 'Under the stewardship of Dravidian parties, lovers have thrived without impediment. However, if the BJP assumes control, the freedom of lovers to stroll along beaches and parks may be curtailed,' he cautioned, citing legislative actions in BJP-ruled states as precursors of potential restrictions on love.
"In the face of such encroachments, Kumar emphasized the imperative of preserving the sanctity of love, likening the party's mission to a bulwark against cultural erosion. 'We cannot afford to stand idly by as the fabric of our society is unraveled. The 'Indian Valentine Party' stands as a bastion of love, safeguarding the cherished traditions of our land,' he asserted passionately.
In a strategic move aimed at consolidating their influence, Kumar revealed plans to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections independently. 'This election marks a pivotal moment in our journey. With steadfast determination, we aim to secure a substantial number of seats, thereby asserting our relevance on the political landscape,' he declared resolutely.
'There is a promising opportunity for collaboration with Vijay, who shares our commitment to love and inclusivity,' he disclosed.
"In a bold move reflective of their vision, Kumar advocated for the establishment of a dedicated 'lovers' constituency,' advocating for representation and empowerment.
'Our demand for a lovers' constituency underscores our commitment to fostering inclusivity and amplifying the voices of lovers across the region,' he asserted, signaling a paradigm shift in political discourse.
"As the conversation drew to a close, Kumar reiterated his unwavering resolve to champion the cause of love and freedom, signaling a new chapter in the political landscape of Tamil Nadu. With Valentine's Day serving as a poignant reminder of love's enduring spirit, Kumar's words resonated as a clarion call for unity and resilience in the face of adversity."
