In a significant development, the Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has granted approval to transform the Ayodhya airport into an international airport, designating it as Maharshi Valmiki International Airport, Ayodhya. This decision aligns with the government's dedication to link the sacred Sri Ram and Ayodhya globally. The airport, inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi on December 30 at a cost of Rs 1,450 crore, will play a pivotal role in enhancing connectivity.

Expressing his sentiments on Twitter, Prime Minister Modi stated, "Our government is committed to connecting the holy Sri Ram and Ayodhya with the whole world. The airport has been declared as an international airport, and Maharshi Valmiki International Airport has been recognized as Ayodhya Dham. This move is a respectful tribute to Maharshi Valmiki on behalf of our family members across the country."
