Saif Ali Khan, the Bollywood actor, was discharged from Mumbai's Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital after undergoing elbow surgery on Tuesday. He appeared in public for the first time post-surgery with his wife, Kareena Kapoor, outside their Bandra residence.
Saif, donning a blue T-shirt and jeans, sported an arm sling to support his recently operated elbow. Kareena happily waved to paparazzi while picking him up. The 53-year-old actor underwent elbow surgery due to an old injury that resurfaced during his recent film shoot. The injury originally occurred while filming Vishal Bhardwaj's "Rangoon" in 2017.
According to a source, Saif was admitted to the hospital on Monday for the surgery. He is reported to be recovering well. Saif expressed gratitude for the support, stating, "This injury and the surgery that followed are a part of the wear and tear of what we do. I am very happy to be in such amazing surgical hands and thank all well-wishers for their love and concern," in a statement post-surgery.
Saif's recent film, "Adipurush," co-starring Prabhas and Kriti Sanon, faced challenges and controversies leading to a disappointing performance at the box office. His upcoming film, "Devara: Part 1," alongside Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor, marks Janhvi's Telugu debut. Directed by Koratala Siva, the two-part film is scheduled for a worldwide release on April 5, 2024. The film's official Twitter handle extended wishes for Saif's speedy recovery, anticipating his return to the sets.
