For the past few years, Actor Vijay's entry into the political arena has sparked considerable anticipation and speculation. This speculation peaked last year when he distributed awards to the top-performing students across all 234 assembly constituencies, seemingly solidifying the rumors.
Further intensifying these speculations, Anand, from the Vijay Makkal Iyakkam, began organizing efforts within the lawyer wing and women's wing.
Recently, Vijay officially unveiled the name of his political party as 'Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam', drawing congratulations from leaders across various political spectrums.
In light of these developments, our Vikatan website conducted a survey, asking readers to assess Vijay's prospects in the political arena. With options ranging from 'Achieve' to 'Fail' and 'Let's Wait and see', the responses were telling.
Of the participants, 23 percent expressed confidence that Vijay would emerge as an achiever in the political domain, while 35 percent believed he might face challenges. A significant portion, accounting for 42 percent, adopted a cautious 'wait and see' approach. Similarly, our survey on Junior Vikatan's Twitter page garnered insights from 3,728 respondents.
Here, 45.4 percent expressed optimism about Vijay's potential success in politics, while 20.9 percent anticipated hurdles. A sizable 33.7 percent opted to reserve judgment and observe the unfolding events. As Vijay takes his first steps into the political landscape, the public's perceptions and expectations set the stage for an intriguing journey ahead.
The survey was conducted in Tamil on the Vikatan.com website. The results have been initially published on the site. Here is the English version.
