As the video gained traction, viewers praised the employee for his resourcefulness in the face of ongoing fuel-related challenges. Notably, Zomato has refrained from commenting on the viral footage.

This incident unfolded against the backdrop of a two-day strike by transport employees across states like Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Hyderabad. The strikes resulted in road blockades and fuel shortages, causing disruptions.

The video has become symbolic amid recent amendments to the Indian Penal Code, now termed 'Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita,' which has intensified penalties for accidental deaths in road accidents. These changes have increased potential jail terms to seven years.
