On February 23 ,G Lasya Nandita, age 37, who is a Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLA, died in a car accident on the Patancheru outer Ring car in Telangana's Sangareddy district.
G Lasya Nandita was severely injured when her vehicle lost control and crashed with a road divider.
Lasya Nandita, born in 1986 in Hyderabad, entered politics around a decade ago and has been serving as a corporator in the Kavadiguda ward since 2016.
Following the sudden passing of her father G Sayanna last year, she took responsibility for continuing on his political legacy.
In the November 2023 elections, she won as the BRS candidate for Secunderabad Cantonment.
Lasya Nandita survived a tragic accident just ten days ago her death ,in Narkatpally. In that accident, she had minor injuries.
That accident happened while traveling to Nalgonda for the Chief Minister's rally, resulting in the tragic loss of her home guard.
Condoling the sudden death of Lasya Nandita, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy expressed his deep shock, stating, "I had a close relationship with Nandita's father, Swarkya Sayanna, who passed away in the same month last year. It is very sad that Lasya Nandita also died suddenly in the same month. My deepest condolences to her family. I pray to God that her soul rests in peace." He shared these sentiments on his social media page.
Senior BRS leader KT Rama Rao conveyed his heartfelt condolences on the sad death of Lasya Nandita.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Rao shared pictures from their last meeting, stating, "This was about a week ago. Just now heard the absolutely tragic & shocking news that Lasya is no more !! Woke up to the devastating loss of the young legislator who was a very good leader in the making My heartfelt prayers for strength to her family and friends in this terrible & difficult time"
Lasya Nandita, known for her dedication and commitment to public service, had previously served as a corporator from Kavadiguda since 2016.
Her recent entry into the legislative assembly in 2023 marked a significant step in her political journey.
But her sudden demise leaves a void in the political landscape, and the Bharat Rashtra Samithi mourns the loss of a promising leader.
