Yogi Adityanath Orders Re-Examination After Police Exam Question Paper Leak: Exam Within 6 Months

In response to allegations of question paper leak during the Uttar Pradesh Police recruitment exam, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered a re-examination to maintain the integrity of the process.

The written exam, was conducted in two phases on February 17 and 18, aimed to fill 60,244 vacancies in the state police force. Despite the participation of 43 lakh out of 48 lakh applicants, concerns over leaked papers led to widespread protests, prompting the cancellation of the initial exam.

Expressing zero tolerance for compromising the sanctity of examinations, Adityanath emphasized, "We will not spare those who play with the hard work of the youth under any circumstances." Consequently, the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment & Promotion Board (UPPRPB) will arrange a re-examination within the next six months for the posts of Reserve Civil Police.

Additionally, the Uttar Pradesh Home Ministry has formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to identify and prosecute those involved in the paper leak.

Over 240 individuals have already been apprehended in connection with the incident. To facilitate the re-examination process, the state government has pledged to provide free transportation to exam centers for all candidates through state transport corporation buses.
