In his final Lok Sabha speech before the 2024 elections, PM Modi criticized the Congress for opposing flagship schemes like Make in India, Aatmanirbhar Bharat, and Vocal for Local, questioning their stance on the nation's achievements.
PM Modi further quipped that it appears the Congress has pledged to remain in the opposition for decades, contrasting their current position with their prolonged years in power. He humorously predicted that the people will bless them to stay in the opposition for an extended period.
Taking a veiled dig at Rahul Gandhi's continuous launch of the 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra,' PM Modi remarked, "Congress' shop is on the verge of closure as they repeatedly launch the same product." He emphasized the Congress's inability to comprehend the speed of ongoing development in the country, citing the swift completion of 4 crore houses, including 80 lakh pucca houses for the urban poor.
In a scathing attack, PM Modi claimed that several Congress candidates are considering changing their seats for the upcoming elections, with some expressing a desire to shift to the Rajya Sabha. He questioned the courage of the Opposition, asserting that fear hampers their ability to contest elections and criticized the party's failure to effectively play the role of a constructive opposition.
The Prime Minister concluded by highlighting missed opportunities for the Congress to emerge as a robust opposition, attributing it to the suppression of young voices within the party, fearing overshadowing a particular individual.
