'Blue Star' continues its successful run in theaters, featuring a stellar cast including Ashok Selvan, Keerthi Pandian, and Shanthanu. Today, the film's success ceremony took place in Chennai, attended by the stars, director Pa. Ranjith, and many others.
Addressing the gathering, actress Keerthi Pandian expressed her disbelief in the film's success, stating, "It feels like a dream. The word 'Success' is now associated with a film in which I acted. Throughout this journey, the director often teased me, saying 'Keerthi' is tense," she chuckled. She shared her intention for equality, saying, "Under this sky, under the tree, plant and creeper, everything is equal. That's my intention as well."
Director Pa. Ranjith, grateful for the audience's acceptance of 'Blue Star,' reflected on his journey since 'Attakathi' and how certain opportunities come unexpectedly.
He mentioned the challenges faced during the censor process, noting that the originality of the film clashed with some board members' views.
He expressed disappointment at the opposition to the film's message of equality.
Ranjith highlighted a poignant scene in the film where Rajesh's character breaks societal norms by addressing his mother with a different name. He emphasized that this moment symbolizes the success of 'Blue Star,' celebrating the film's message of unity and breaking down societal differences.
In closing, Ranjith praised the entire film crew, acknowledging their efforts in delivering a powerful and impactful movie. 'Blue Star' stands as a testament to the belief that collective unity can overcome societal divisions.
