Reports surfaced alleging the involvement of the producer of "Iraivan miga Periyavan," a film announced to be directed by Ameer, in a drug smuggling case. Director Ameer has issued a statement addressing these reports. In his statement:

"Hello Respected Press, TV, Website, Web Light, Radio, Culture, and all media friends! The recent news concerning Jaffer, the producer of my film "Iraivan Miga Periyavan," has deeply shocked me. On the 22nd, while I was shooting the final stages of the movie "Iraivan Miga Periyavan," the shooting abruptly came to a halt.

Why was the shooting stopped? What's going on around me? I learned about this through the media.

As of now, I am still unaware of the truth. However, if there is any truth to the allegations in the news, it should be condemned and punished.

The media industry is well aware of my stance against compromising with actors and producers for financial gain. Therefore, I want to make it clear that I will not continue to collaborate with anyone involved in illegal activities. Currently, I am occupied with film-related work in my office, where I regularly interact with journalists.

Once I have gathered all the necessary details, I intend to hold a press conference to address the matter comprehensively."

According to the reports, the international drug racket smuggled pseudoephedrine via air and sea. Jaffer Sadiq is reportedly absconding.
